Project: Home Colorado is the branch of our organization that aims to help adults and families in need of affordable temporary housing within Colorado. Our model is to provide a self-contained apartment for residents within supportive host homes.
NOTE: This phase of Project: Home is in the planning stage. We hope to launch our first Project: Home Apartment in 2017!
The goal of Project: Home is to create spaces for people in need to experience safety, acceptance, and community during a crisis situation that has left them in need of shelter. Our host families will work with extended stay residents (>1 month) to help facilitate life skill development such as money management, parenting, and job application assistance on an as-needed basis through our individualized mentoring program. Residents will also be expected to pay for their stay in the apartments as they are able based on an individualized sliding scale according to financial need.
Who We Serve
Preference for long term residence will be given to women in crisis pregnancy situations. Other potential emergency or transitional housing residents may include homeless families, victims of domestic violence, refugees, families of patients in the hospital, and others.
